Broken Laptop Hinge Epidemic!




Not sure what's happening but we picked up another laptop with a broken LCD hinge today.

The main culprits seem to be inexpensive Compaq and HP laptops with wide screens.

Apparently the cheap pot metal hinges that the Chinese use can't hold up to daily use.

Since the beginning of the year, this makes the fifth laptop we've repaired with this problem.

The hinges are sold in pairs so the total cost for parts and labor runs around $150 to replace them.

Same old story, spend more upfront for quality and save in the long run.
